Wheat Ridge Community Foundation

Established in 2003, this 501(c)(3) organization's purpose is to enhance the Wheat Ridge community through culture, education, recreation and beautification. The Foundation provides several opportunities for you or your business to support our community and local families through donations and memorials.  Your support is needed to fund the following programs:

Wheat Ridge Recreation Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded to eligible individuals and families in financial need, who otherwise could not afford to participate in recreation programs.  To support this program, please send your tax deductible donation payable to:

Kyle Brake Memorial Scholarship

Established as a memorial to Kyle Brake, a young boy who loved to play sports, this program provides scholarships for children (K - 8th grade) who are limited financially but would like to participate in organized sports.  Visit www.kylebrake.org for more information.

Active Adult Center Programs

Donations are used to fund equipment, furniture, and educational programs at the Active Adult Center as well as scholarships for eligible adults, 50 and older, in financial need, to participate in recreation classes and programs.  To support this program, please send your tax deductible donation payable to:

Memorial Park Programs

Honor a loved one by purchasing a tree or bench for placement in a Wheat Ridge park or a memorial brick for placement on the walkway of the Veterans Memorial Gazebo at Hayward Park.  One section of the walkway is reserved for bricks honoring non-veterans and the other section is for bricks listing the name of a veteran. For more information, please contact Alberta Pierce, 303.205.7552.

Parks, Forestry and Open Space Program

This program was created to enhance the open space experience for our community through educational opportunities.  Environmental education equipment is needed for classes and includes: binoculars, cameras, spotting scopes, books, field guides, microscopes, bug boxes and backpacks.  In-kind donations are welcome!  To support this program, please send your tax deductible donation payable to:
