Permit Submittal Information

Documents, specifications and information required to submit for a building permit vary based on the type of project to be performed. Each project specific checklist also provides a set of the forms that must accompany any submittal for that type of project. Demolition and Asbestos Requirements
Residential structures built before 1988, in which 50 linear feet of pipe wrap, 32 square feet of other surfaces (walls, etc.), or the aggregate volume of a 55 gallon drum of removed materials will require asbestos testing and potentially abatement prior to issuance of the demolition permit.

Commercial Structures built before 1988, in which 260 linear feet of pipe wrap, 160 square feet of other surfaces (walls, etc.), or the aggregate volume of a 55 gallon drum of removed materials will require asbestos testing and potentially abatement prior to issuance of the demolition permit.

In the event that the demolition work has been performed prior to the issuance of the permit, a letter from CDPHE containing the project address and an acknowledgement of awareness that the demolition was conducted without the permit and that no further action is necessary on the part of the applicant shall be required to be submitted with the permit application.
