The Wheat Ridge Police Department Community Services Team is currently developing an emergency evacuation plan to assist livestock owners in the safe and orderly evacuation of their animals, should an emergency arise.
To help expedite the evacuation plan, the Wheat Ridge Police Department is asking livestock owners to complete a Livestock Information Form that will provide contact information for the Community Services Team to access in the event of an emergency. Having the ability to call livestock owners in an emergency will help ensure a safe and orderly evacuation.
Another aspect of the evacuation plan is to have access to individuals that have livestock hauling equipment and a willingness to assist a neighbor or fellow citizen that does not have the ability to evacuate their animals on their own.
Please complete the Livestock Information Form and mail, fax, or hand-deliver it to the Wheat Ridge Police Department, attention the Community Services Team.
