Round Your Returns

Regulation A-542 was created by Treasurer Jerry DiTullio to make it quicker and easier to file City taxes. Round amounts ending in .50 UP to the next dollar, and amounts ending in .49 or less DOWN to the previous dollar.

Interest Rate, Fundraising, and Special Events Relief as of July 1st

In an effort to bring the City of Wheat Ridge’s tax code and policies in line with state and national best practices, City Council passed Ordinance 1597 on June 13, 2016.

The Ordinance, supported by City Treasurer Jerry DiTullio, caps the interest on delinquent taxes at 18% and permits the City Treasurer or a designee to waive interest down to 6%. This change took effect July 1, 2016.
