Local Election Information

Wheat Ridge has a full slate of candidates for City Council and City Clerk and there is one person running unopposed for Treasurer. There is also a local ballot initiative.

On August 29, 2019, a complaint was filed in Jefferson County District Court...
2019 Ballot Initiative 2E Rezoning of 4000-4060 Upham 
(Case No. 2019 CV 31333), challenging the petition referred by City Council at its August 26 regular meeting for a vote of the people on the rezoning of 4000-4060 Upham as a Ballot Question on the 2019 ballot.

The decision on the complaint will be determined by a District Court judge, and until that time the question will remain on the ballot for Wheat Ridge voters to decide.

For information on local candidates

Ballots will be mailed to Jefferson County Voters beginning Oct. 11, 2019. The ballot box at Wheat Ridge City Hall 7500 W. 29th will open Oct. 14, 2019.Wheat Ridge City Hall will also serve as a polling place on Election Day, Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
