What is the process to get on the City’s vendor list?
The City of Wheat Ridge (COWR) does not maintain vendor lists. We use a regional online bid service for vendor registration, the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System (RMEPS), an affiliation of Bidnet. Vendors are encouraged to register here for notification of bid opportunities.

What is Cooperative Purchasing and does the City participate?
Cooperative purchasing is that conducted on behalf of two or more public procurement agencies to obtain the benefits of volume purchases and /or reduction in administrative expenses. The City participates in various coop purchasing groups such as:
• Multiple Association of Procurement Officials (MAPO)
• Colorado State Purchasing Price Agreements
• US Communities
• Western States Contracting Alliance (WSCA)
• National IPA

Do I need a Business License to conduct work for the City?
Business licenses are required of the awarded firm for construction projects. You may contact the City Sales Tax Division for more information 303-235-2820.

What is the City’s preferred method of payment and how often are payments made?
The City makes payments to vendors by either check or VISA. The vendor’s invoice should note if credit card payments are acceptable. The check payment schedule is twice a month.
