Wheat Ridge Sun Camps
The City of Wheat Ridge offers two state-licensed camps throughout the year for children ages 6-14 that coincide with the Jefferson County Public School breaks. The camps are held at the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center.

Summer Sun Camp
Our Summer Sun Camp is offered five days a week throughout the summer break. Registration begins April 4 for our 2012 Summer Sun Camp. Information is published in our Spring/Summer Activities Guide.

Winter Sun Camp
Our Winter Sun Camp is open during the winter holiday break. Registration begins in August and information is published in our Fall/Winter Activities Guide.

Camp Information
Instructor: Licensed Camp Specialist / Recreation Staff
Location: Wheat Ridge Recreation Center, Activity Rooms 1 and 2
Time: 7:30 am to 5:30 pm
Fees: $30 per day and $25 per day for additional children in the same family; plus $30 annual registration fee that includes a t-shirt.
What to Bring: Children enrolled in the Sun Camp are asked to bring a sack lunch, snacks, swim attire, towel, and tennis shoes every day.

Registration Information
Families must register in person at the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center. A non-refundable annual registration fee of $30 is due at the time of registration. Registration for individual days may be available and is on-going; however, registration for each of those days must be at least one week in advance. A minimum of 10 children and a maximum of 39 children are enrolled in the camps.
