COVID-19 impacts

In an effort to support social distancing and slow the spread of COVID-19, effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020, Wheat Ridge Municipal Court will be closed through June 1, 2020. Municipal Court and the Court Office will reopen effective June 2, 2020 for limited hours only of Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. 

If you are currently scheduled to appear in Wheat Ridge Municipal Court you may be able to handle your Court matter via video conferencing or by utilizing the online payment option. Wheat Ridge Municipal Court Staff will be available by phone 303-235-2835 or email Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. to discuss options for handling your Court case.

Responsibilities


Wheat Ridge Municipal Court is a limited jurisdiction court and acts as a check and balance on the legislative and executive branches of government. The Court has jurisdiction over: The penalty for most criminal matters carry up to a $2,650.00 fine and up to 364 days in jail.

Court is in session Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please check the calendar for closures on legal holidays.
