COVID-19 Update - March 13, 2020

An update from the City of Wheat Ridge Emergency Manager:

As more cases of Coronavirus/COVID-19 are reported in Colorado, we will be posting additional precautions as well as community resources to our website in order to help our residents and staff stay healthy.

In addition to posting information about good universal hygiene practices, providing masks to visitors with concerning symptoms, and urging our employees who handle items from members of the public to wear gloves, we will be closing some City facilities and have canceled or postponed meetings and special events as follows:

• City Council Meeting March 16 canceled
• City Council Retreat March 20-21 postponed, new date TBD
• City Council Meeting March 23 continued to March 30

Special Events
• Active Adult Center St, Patrick’s Day Dinner March 13 Canceled
• WRPD Refuse to be a Victim Program March 14 Canceled
• WRPD Dog Walker Watch Class March 23 Canceled
• Annual Easter Egg Hunt April 4 Canceled
• Census 2020 Event April 4 Postponed

Facility Closures
• WR Recreation Center March 15-29
• WR Active Adult Center March 15-29
• Anderson Building March 15-29
