WRPD is hosting a free course in personal safety. Participants will learn how to increase awareness, avoid dangerous situations, and prevent criminal confrontation. Refuse To Be A Victim is an award-winning crime prevention program offering tips and techniques for recognizing dangerous situations and how to avoid becoming a victim. Topics include: – Mental Preparedness – Home Security – Travel Security – Physical Security – Psychology of Criminals – Automotive Security – Cyber Security – Personal Defense Devices – Self Defense Training Space is limited, so register early. Saturday, February 9, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in the ballroom at the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center, 4005 Kipling St, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. Coffee and pastries will be provided, as well as lunch. Participants must be at least 16 years of age.
