Tobacco Retailer License Application

  1. License Fee Payment
    All Tobacco Retail License fee payments can be made by check when mailed, and by check, cash or credit when completed in person at City Hall. Checks should be made out to: City of Wheat Ridge Tax Division, PO Box: 7500 W. 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033
  2. Term of License
    Tobacco Retailers must be in full compliance by July 1, 2021. Any business that submits the license application form by July 1, 2021 will be considered compliant. The first year’s Tobacco Retail License will expire on December 31, 2022, and renewals are due by January 1, 2023. Each subsequent renewal will last 12 months and expire on December 31 of that year.
  3. Tobacco Retailer Application Type*
    All applications at this time should be considered a "New License." Renewals will begin when the first term has expired.
  4. Verification of Tobacco Retailer Requirements*
    I am aware that the following list includes most but not all requirements for Tobacco Retailers. I understand that a full list of requirements can be found in Sections 11-233 through 11-239 of the Municipal Code. (Please check all boxes.)
  5. Oath of Application*
    I declare under penalty of perjury in the second degree that this application and all attachments are true, correct, and complete to the best of my knowledge and belief. I also acknowledge that it is my responsibility and the responsibility of my agents and employees to comply with the provisions of the Wheat Ridge Municipal Code and all Rules and Regulations which govern my Tobacco Retailers License. I further acknowledge that it is my responsibility to provide the City with amendments to this application in the event that any information provided herein changes after the date of application.
