Community Advisory Group Application

  1. The Wheat Ridge Police Department has formed a Community Advisory Group to engage in open dialogue about the delivery of law enforcement services. Meetings will occur every two months on the second Wednesday at 6 p.m. Qualifications include: a broad knowledge of Wheat Ridge, the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with people of diverse perspectives and experience, a commitment to improving police services in Wheat Ridge, the ability to be objective and open to learning about policing, and to reside or work in Wheat Ridge. Applicants must submit an application, meet with a current member, agree to a background check and meet for an interview with the Chief of Police.

  11. Applicants will undergo a background check and an interview with the Chief before being notified of acceptance. Meetings occur on the second Wednesday of the month from 6-7:30 p.m. and for in-person meetings, a light dinner is served. Thank you for your interest.
